1. Go Small
When you’re living in a smaller space, you’ll have to downsize on some of the staple decorations. Try finding a tree that’s small and thin so that it won’t overwhelm the space. Some craft/decor stores offer spruce trees, which are often the perfect size and shape for an RV.
2. Light It Up
Brighten up your space with strand lights! You can easily install them on the awning outside, in windows, and under some cabinets. Pick a color scheme (white or colored lights) and stick to it, the cohesive colors will help space feel warm and cozy.
3. A Little Goes a Long Way
If you already have a list of favorite decorations, pick through them and choose the ones that bring out your holiday spirit. Less is more in an RV, so try to minimize the number of decorations, by selecting the ones you truly love!
Pro tip: Try picking a theme, or color scheme, and stick to those simple colors: red and white, blue and silver. It will help the whole space feel festive with just a few highlight pieces!
4. Switch it Out
If you want to spice up your area for the holidays, then swap out your typical decor for holiday pillows, bedspreads, dishes, and curtains. You can usually find reversible cushions and other decorations for sale at home decor stores in the fall that can be used from the fall through the winter. Get creative with your choices and personalize the space with your theme.
5. Holiday Scents
One of the best parts about the holidays is all the wonderful smells! Candles are not exactly the safest option for making your RV space smell heavenly, but you can plug in a candle warmer, or buy wall plugs with your favorite holiday scents. Now, every time to step inside during your holiday adventure, you can be greeted by the smell of fresh sugar cookies, or peppermint sticks, or even that lovely pine tree smell. It’s up to you!
