Happy camping season, RVers! Many people have been inside the last few months and are ready to get out, and what better way to do that safely than to go to a campground and spend time outdoors? We’ve got our top pick of camping destinations in Utah, which we know you’ll love! With so many places and activities to explore, you’ll have whatever type of vacation you want–relaxing in your new RV or taking a hike in the Utah mountains.
Whether it’s fishing or swimming or kayaking or canoeing, you’ll have plenty to do in the mountains at Deer Creek State Park. Deer Creek is the hub of all things WATER! Swimming will be great for those hot summer days, and if you need a break you can relax in your own RV.
As the campground states, “Walsburg Bay, located at the southwest end of the reservoir, and is available for group use camping from July 1st- October 31st (water may not be available after October 15th) and is open for day use only from November 1st to June 30th.” This means you’ll want to find an available spot soon!
There is a ranger station, a dump station, and a comfort station at your disposal. There are picnic tables at the site available to you, and can drink the water they provide, as well. So as much as these sites are in the thick of nature, you’ll have some nice amenities to keep you comfortable.
There is a boat launch, so those of you with toy haulers and boats, take advantage of the beautiful lakes! You can rent boats at places around the campground, or bring your own kayaks or canoes. You’ll never forget what it’s like to be in the midst of the Utah mountains while on the water.
The campsites are extremely nice, with wooded areas for your RVs to slip right into. If you love your own privacy, this is the campground for you. Anyone who loves the outdoors will love this area surrounded by the mountains and forest.
They also have recently remodeled buildings, including their bathrooms and camping store. So not only do you get the adventure of the mountains, but you also get to enjoy the luxury of the newer campground areas.
Sounds like a an amazing place to camp, right? We thought so, too.
